During the past 10 years, there have been many, more or less faithful, reconstructions as to how the extraordinary epic adventure began, for what would come to be known as "the most beautiful race in the world". The highly considered and obviously most credible version is without a doubt that stated by one of its founders, Giovanni Canestrini, written up in his very famous book "Mille Miglia", edited…

Vintage Racing Today is a labor of love. Zapata Racing has been vintage racing for over 30 years and have seen it go through many changes. They invited me to my first race in 2009, and I immediately started asking why more people didn’t know about this. Vintage racing needs to be experienced. It invades and overwhelms all of your senses, is so visually stunning, and is so different from what the average person thinks of racing today.
I convinced the Zapata guys that we should…

Basically you come and drive my car in a couple of events in Australia and you invite me do drive your car in your country. I have done this successfully with a well known vintage racer on the West Coast of the USA and we both had a blast! I…

FROM WORLD’S FASTEST NOVELIST “BS” LEVY:
Some people (especially the ones who've already shelled out big $ponsorship buck$ and those who felt they were left dangling a bit at the end of my first Steamroller book) have been asking when the next—and most likely final—novel in The Last Open Road series will finally appear. And I’ve been working pretty hard…

Makes sense that the world's fanciest motorhomes would be constructed in Miami, right? Miami it is, only this Miami is in Oklahoma, where, as Keke Rosberg once observed, "the beaches are not so good." Still, celebrities and pro drivers flock here in scores, dropping $50 million annually at the 120,000-square-foot Newell Coach factory, founded in 1967 by L.K. Newell.
The plant abuts a statue of the region's most famous son, Mickey Charles Mantle. "A great teammate," the inscription…

There was no factory support. GM figured that the novel aerodynamic split window Sting Ray coupe with the ZO6 option would keep the Corvette a winner. There was space to fit a bigger fuel tank suitable for FIA longer distance races. One hundred and ninety-nine ZO6 optioned Corvette…
