Profile Information

About Me:
Editorial Director of Automotive Traveler and automotivetraveler.com, the Internet's leading authority on the subject of automotive-themed adventure travel. My profile photo is me at Watkins Glen at the 1990 FCA national meet in an '80 308GTSi I owned from 1985 to 1991. If you would like to see some of the articles I've produced for magazines like Classic and Sports Car, Octane, Musclecar Enthusiast, Cars and Parts, Motor Trend Classic, I invite you to visit http://tinyurl.com/RT-features.
What car(s) do you own?
1964 AMC Rambler 440 convertible
1968 AMC Rambler Rogue hardtop pro touring
1969 AMC Rambler 440 station wagon
1969 Kaiser Jeep Super Wagoneer
1969 Mercury Colony Park station wagon
1984 Pontiac Fiero (custom-bodied 1984 SEMA Show car, first Fiero ever built with T-tops)
1988 Pontiac Fiero
1988 AMC Eagle station wagon
What do you like to do (e.g. vintage race with...)?
I am always looking to find the great road trip. To get an idea of what I mean, feel free to check out either of these URLs:

What clubs do you belong to?
Hardly have time for clubs, Automotive Traveler is like a club as like-minded individuals share great road trip adventures.
What would you like to do (e.g. go to race school; get into Vintage Racing)?
I am starting a new business, something of an off-shoot of Automotive Traveler, escorted tours of Europe in vintage sports cars. Our first classic car tour is planned for this Spring, 12 days and 11 nights in Rome, Tuscany, and Abruzzo. If you have interest in joining us -- the group is limited to just five couple to insure a memorable adventure -- please contact me at richt@automotivetraveler.com.

After talking directly with Stephen, our web master, I am really excited at the prospect of meeting many of you as well as sharing content between The Vintage Racing League and Automotive Traveler.

Italy sounds great, but business here is so bad that I can barely afford to get up in the morning. You saw it first hand at the auto show.

Rich,

Nice to see that you were in Detroit last week and didn't bother to give me a call! Don't forget our drive together trying to keep you sane when the memory card failed in your camera.

I hope all is well with you,

Kenny Walters

Hey Rich !

Thanks for inviting me to join, long time no contact, how's stuff ? Looks like you are off on another adventure - good for you man, keep up the good work. If you are ever in the neighborhood (you know where that is) give me a call, lets get together. Christophe is coming over to run a SOVREN (www.sovren.com) race at PR with me in the "new" 1970 Plymouth Barracuda race car, should be fun. Come up and join us, bring your camera, there will be many classy vintage race cars. Look forward to seeing you soon. Best Regards - D***

Richard,
I think we have a great book that you should review on your website, its called "A Drive on the Wild Side". If you let me have your postal address, I'll have our US distributors send you a copy.

Call if you need help inviting people to the AT Group.
BTW - you can invite a max of 5000 at a time.
If you invite your list, you'll have to split it up.
