Profile Information

About Me:
I am a French journalist, Press Officer and commentator working full time (and more) in the motor sport business.
What car(s) do you own?
I am not a vintage car owner, I sold my Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV6 last Saturday! I just own a Superkart 250 of the nineties and currently rebuilding Jarno Trulli's World title winning kart. I entered the Walter Hayes Trophy for Formula Ford 1600 last week (nov 2008) at the wheel of a 1980' Van Diemen. That's all for the moment but I'm still young!
What do you like to do (e.g. vintage race with...)?
I like to go racing karts, superkarts and single seaters. I attended to Le Mans 24 Hours 32 times. I won Le Mans 24 Hours for karts once (1990). I like to do a little bit of DJeing and to sing my personal hit single "Formula Love" and listen to The Smiths, especially when Morissey sings Margareth on the guillotine.
What clubs do you belong to?
The cult of clubs is not as developed in France as it is in the UK of course, but I belong to ASK Rosny 93, which is the biggest and most amaaaazing karting and motor sport club in France. This is where lads the likes of Alexandre Prémat, GT superstar Fred Makowiecki, rising stars Franck Mailleux or Nelson Panciatici take their licence since they were in their junior years.

Thanks for reply .I have only been racing a short time but still have many ambitions to fullfill and a long distance endurance race is one of them.Sebring soaunds great - I was thinking of along the lines of classic Le Mans. My cousin wants us to do the Paris Peking (cant spell Bayging) Idont think my hearts in it, though it would be a great epic drive!!.I am building a twin engined Riley for hopefully next season-the Fiat is a rgeat fun car though not terribly fast but I only do handicap stuff which is a help.Cant wait for next season --may do a vintage trial or two in the Fiat over the winter to keep me focused. Ihave just got hold of a braked front axle for the Fiat which will help me slow steadily at corners -- it came attached to a 30s farm trailer which I will restore in due coarse. I also got a velo/solex moped off the same chap which Idont know what Iwill do with it!!!Hope you have a great winter - have fun Brian

hey Romana, thanks for the note.
Yes, I know that book! Funnily enough, I bought my copy in the old bookshop behind the paddock at Monza many years ago!
Strangely, I bought my car from a guy in Michigan. When I contacted Ken Nicholls over here he went back to his book and founf that that chassis when bran dnew was shipped immediately to the States in November 1969. I asked where and he said 'Michigan'!!
It seems the car didn't move much in its' first 29 years! When we got the car back here to the UK, we had to do a complete re-build.
Do you do the WHT ?
I've done it a couple of times in my car, but was completely out-classed by the much newer machinery!
all the best, Gary C

Hi Romana,

Thank you very much for your message. Not sure how Julien Jousse got left off the list, but have him added now. I would appreciate being added to your list, that would be great. Any other international lists would be great as well. Our press release list is pressrelease@nofenders.com or you could also use my personal email.
"Formula Ford race cars Anatomy and Development" sounds like a great book. I need to find racing book suppliers. Any ideas?

Great to hear from you.
