About Me:
Introduced to La Carrera Panamericana in 2006, years ago. It has lit a passion in me that is fairly unexplainable. My husband & I both jumped into the fray only to learn that, well..., we have a lot to learn about vintage racecar driving and Mexican Road Rallies.
To date we have purchased a 1965 Nova II SS.
Roger Habich helped us "redesign" (or is that rebuild :) it specifically to run in the La Carrera. He also built us a rollcage that puts a Humvee to shame.
We observed 2007 La Carrera - The National Mexican Road Rally Champion of year's past (Antonio Penaflor) - drove us along the entire race route sidling in right behind the sweeper car. We attended 2008 Chihuahua Express (ok, it was in Tourist class - but we had a blast!). And, now we continue our determined effort with racing classes and the constant "rebuild" of the Nova. Someday, one day, La Carrera will see our Nova in the Historica C class. The Gregory's now own the Nova. It ran in 2012 -2013 Chihuahua Express and La Carrera Panamericana. John Gregory has mentioned he has THE best navigator and one hell-of-a great race car!
