Stephen,
It was sincerely a pleasure to meet you too. Thanks to Bud for introducing us.
I will call you either late Friday or first of next week to further our discussions.
I love VRL and the future plans you have for it. Another great accomplishment in the works for Lord Page!
Take care, Grant
I have been up all night making updates to the site. You probably logged on in between my updates. The site looks fine now. I have been recoding the backend and making upgrade modifications to MYVRL. I have been pulling "all-nighters" for the last three nights. So if you just happen to loggin in the middle of the night, and see something different that just because I am up making the modifications. There are a lot of good stuff coming.
Good morning Stephen,
Are you going to make it up to Road America?
Can VMS get the text SUBSCRIBE TODAY! above our logo?
I want to make sure that your members know that we are a Vintage Racing Magazine.
I look forward to meeting you.
Have a great day
Hi Stephen,
I did not know Alfa was the featured marque at Monterey, sadly I will not be there firstly my car would not be accepted because it has a 1750 engine (should be 1600) and also the cost of transpotation and the subsequent weekend would be too much of a strain on the racing budget.
D***.
Thanks for the comments on Pix. With my father, we've been going to vintage races for about 10 years. Before losing his sight, he raced a Fiat 600 around the Northwest in the early 70's.
We plan on unveiling the "new" 850 at the Seattle Historics, AND will be travelling down to Monterey for their events. Maybe with his Masserati ))
thanks for the welcome. I'm on the road right now and don't have photos available. I have an Alfa Romeo GTV that I am modifying with GTAm body work. It's finally ready for the paint shop. The motor, suspension, brakes, wheels, etc have already been highly upgraded. I'm not sure it will be eligible for certain vintage races given the alterations I have made. We'll have to see. If nothing else, it's a great track day car.
Thanks for the warm, and thoughtful welcome. It is good to get to share vintage racing with others, sometimes for those of us who live outside of a racing hotbed our spouses have long since reached overload.
Since you asked, or at least left me an opening, I race a 1963 Elva Courier and a 1966 Ladybird mk. 7 ( a Classic Clubmans 1.6 L ) with SOVREN and HMSA in the pacific northwest and northern California. We look forward to following your website and will pass this page along to our racing friends.
Your on, Stephan...Only a coke, though.
I'm gonna make another race in Texas before I quit, promise. I lived on a 95 acre parcel on the west boundary fence of DFW, once upon a time. Brother-in-law still lives in Burrleson and we have 5.5 acres up in Montague county.
Alan is good people. I think he felt worse about it than I did. I look at it from a racer's perspective, if you cannot afford to loose it, keep it in the garage. Besides, the black car handled like crap (I only added the cage and engine before racing) and the white car "Rusty Booger" is a real race car I built from scratch...I'll post a couple more photos.
Stephen, this is fantastic idea, a social site for us vintage racers! I feel rather isolated in AZ we only have one or two
events/year, even with 4 tracks (Firebird-3, PIR-1) in the
area..Maybe this site will be the catalyst for getting a local VR group started.
Thanks for the complements, I'll upload more pictures when I can. I rebuilt the Elan from a bare frame..The current shot is
from the Feb 2005 HSR event at PIR, taken at the entry to
turn 2..
Hi Stephen, I just learned of this site this morning. It looks terrific! I am currently club racing with PCA, but mostly I run SVRA in my Porsche as well as an Olds Achieva. I look forward to making more friends through this site! Peter

I will be at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 12th with my Datsun. Will you or anyone from VRL be there?

Hi Stephen,
Thought I would try to send you some photos of my car, primarily to see if I can but also in the hopes that you may be interested.
