Hi thanks for the freindship --hands across the sea !--liked the Allard pic --worked on one about 10 years ago I beleive it had a Studibaker Hawk supercharged engine in it- -did some work on the De-Dion suspension if Iremember right-went like stink.Have just been working on a British Salmson engine /the owner got this chap to rebuild it but he had problems at home .thats where I came in //to puzzle out where all the bits fitted together.Anyway the engine is very tight on its white metal bearings-will have to scrape them in when I go back--interesting engine though -twin cam 1 & a half litre engine hemi head with inclined valves and it is as rare as Do Do,s teeth. Well Loton Parks nearly on us and I haven;t got the car ready yet.Have a good week .Brian

Thank you for being on the show! I like to think Pit Pass USA covers more than just the major racing series. Keep me posted on news items and even accomplishments of some of your members on the track!

Hey Stephen!
I finally came up with a really great idea that I'm pretty excited about-- it involves online representation for upcoming wakeboard manufacturers as well as independent guys who shape wake surfboards. I'm meeting with the Center for New Ventures and Entrepreneurship at A&M next week to solicit some more advice :) I'm sure you'll be hearing from me soon!

Saturday sounds great as I may not be there in time for friday, unless the Mini race is on then, which I want to see. Will I be allowed into the Press Center ? perhaps you can put my name down. I was raised in London also from 1951 - 1962 and am rather conservative and have always been a bit wary of hugging men !
We will talk before Goodwood.
Kind regards
Conor

I did not take that photo, I got it from a retired engineer at Chrysler, the car is now in Jay Leno's collection (I think) Chrysler had three cars and that car in the photograph was the only one running in the early 90's when it was taken.

Stephen,

Thanks for the warm welcome. It may take me a while to learn how to navigate your fine site but I will keep working at it. You mentionesd that you had a good friend with a Tiger and I wonder who that might be? Have been around the Tiger community for about 35 year and have had a chance to meet many owners over the years. Again thanks for what should be an exciting site.

Hello Stephen,
Thank you for adding me as a friend on your cool site! I look forward to spending more time here, when I'm not wrenching on my project vehicles or cranking out articles for Redline Review (www.RedlineReview.com - will be live later this summer).

Best, Brian P.S. I hope you don't mind the Redline Review plug. :)

Hi Stephen, have tried to add some photos, but no luck so far, will try again later. The closest I am going to get to a Shadow DN8 are the 1/43rd scale models I am going to build - recently got Pryce's 1976 late season car and Jones' 1977 Austrian GP winner. I build a lot of 1/43rd models (over 350 and mainly open wheelers, GP, Indy, F5000, as well as Can-Am and Le Mans racers). I am also waiting for the just released models of the DN6 from the US F5000 series. Talk soon. Regards, Ray.

Stephen with your technical hat on I have another problem on the Mini Group site. When I try to put something up on the site The Official Mini Website loads on top of it and if I go back it keeps doing it. Maybe you could have a look at it. I don't know who put up the Advertising for the Official Mini Website or where it comes from but it is interfering with the Group site. many thanks Conor
