CVAR drivers, crews, and friends, Welcome Back to Hallett

Want to be informed about  Thunder on the Cimarron XII  Oct 11-13, 2013?       Then read on . . .

Have you reserved your room at the Hampton?  If you want the Hallett discount rate, reserve before September 30th         Code is CVA.

Below is the raceport, garage, and RV reservation list.  If there is a ? after your name I need to hear from you for confirmation please.

FYI:  Gates will be open Thursday evening 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. for the drivers testing on Friday. Please do not plan to enter before 4 p.m. as Thursday is a private rental.  BTW, there are a couple spots available, so if you want to test Thurs. contact ls@duplissey.com                       Tech will probably open Thursday evening around 8 p.m.

Gates open 7 a.m. Friday for all drivers testing Friday;  all others  5 p.m. until 10 p.m. Friday, 7 a.m. – 10 p.m Saturday.,  7 – 5 Sunday.   Barbara at the gate will have a list of

all the drivers.  We are going green so no papers required when you sign the release.  Just give her your name and your pumpkin-smile to celebrate October.

A highly professional film crew who have filmed at vintage/historic races all over the world will be at Hallett for CVAR Thunder on the Cimarron.  Alexander Davidis (met by some at the last TWS event) is an amazingly creative and talented artist as well as an accomplished award-winning producer and director.   Davidis and Duplissey have partnered up for the new series with the working title of VINTAGE RACER. The series will showcase all the things that make vintage racing and vintage racers so exceptional and will give some highly needed positive exposure to the sport.   So comb your hair (those of you who still can LOL), polish your car, and be a part of this pilot episode of a new series that will, no doubt in my mind, make it to a major network.

All the best to each of you as you prepare for the Thunder!  Reminder:  that last mile off Hwy 99 is still less than desirable – so please slow down and watch for dips and bumps.  The road in is worse than the road out.   The three attachments are:  Saturday pace car (’60 Falcon Sedan Delivery) and Sunday pace car (’70 Fiat 850 Sport Spider) AND a poster to send all your fans!!
