I am primarily responsible for selling exhibition space and sponsorship packages to a wide range of companies for a market leading consumer show at the NEC Birmingham.
The Classic Motor Show is now the largest consumer car show in the UK and the second largest Classic Motor Show in the world.
My core responsibilites are as follows:
Floorplan management and allocation of stand space to maximise revenue.
Face to face sales to existing and potential exhibitors to meet exhibition revenue targets.
Sourcing relevant and show enhancing new business.
Collection and reporting of all industry intelligence to the team.
Monitoring and evaluation of all competitor activity.
Creation, monitoring and evaluation of team sales plans.
Creation of all sales promotional material with the marketing team.
Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with exhibitors, sponsors, partners and the rest of the show team.
Keeping abreast of market developments and identifying and researching new growth areas for sales.
Visiting existing and potential clients/sponsors/partners regularly to build new and enhance existing relationships.
Attending and participating at industry functions when required.
Visiting relevant exhibitions in the UK and on the continent.
Handling enquiries on the telephone, email and by post, producing mailings and general correspondence.
Resolving exhibitor conflicts both in the office and on site.
Working on site during the build up, open period and breakdown of all the shows.
Ability to adapt behaviour to suit or achieve desired result.
