About Me:: I am a retired art educator and an active illustrator. I have been involved with British sports cars since late 1969 when I traded a 1964 VW bug straight up for a 1956 Austin Healey 100-4. I was stationed in the San Francisco Bay area in the Coast Guard and had driven the bug from Houston. Both cars were running at the time, but the used car dealer in Alameda, Calif. thought he could sell the bug easier! Ah to have the opportunity again. Since then I have owned another AH (100-6), a Triumph Spitfire, a Sunbeam Alpine and three MGBs.

What car(s) do you own?: I own a 1963 MGB which doesn't run yet, a Toyota 4runner which always runs and am co-owner of a 2008 Volvo C30 with my wife, who is the primary driver. We went to Sweden to pick up the C30 in January, 2008. A wonderful adventure in a very cold climate compared to Houston, Texas.

What do you like to do (e.g. vintage race with...)?: I read a lot about vintage racing in many magazines and books. I was involved with SCCA racing in St. Louis, MO in the 1970s but have not been actively involved since. I love the look of sports cars that look like road cars.

What clubs do you belong to?: The Houston MG Car Club (I am currently president), the North American MGB Register and the Space City Ts (a Model T car club in Houston). My dad owns a 1926 Model T touring car which he has promised to me when he can no longer drive it.

What would you like to do (e.g. go to race school; get into Vintage Racing)?: I would be most interested to watch and learn instead of just read about it.
