Porsche vs Ferrari at Sebring 1970

This is an old image of mine that I took at Sebring in 1970. It was originally in black & white and I decided to colorize it. The clouds and sky are from another photo. Not bad if I do say so myself and a lot of fun to do. BTW, that is Andretti in the Ferrari and Pedro Rodriguez in the #15 Porsche and Jo Siffert in the #14 Porsche. Andretti would go on to win the race in another Ferrari 512. The photo was taken as the cars came down the nearly one mile North - South runway on the ole 5.2 mile Sebring course. The main reason the Gulf Porsches failed to win was they were equipped with new but defective wheel hubs that had to be changed several times. The #15 car was leading late in the race when it suffered its fourth wheel hub failure and ended up 4th overall.
