Tony Adamowicz is at the wheel of this NART Ferrari 312P at the 1970 Daytona 24. At the point where I took this picture the car had been running without any coolant for several hours. The car had the radiator holed by track debris and the team had no spare radiator for them. Tony was told to continue driving without coolant but to keep an eye on the oil temperature. He did this for 5 1/2 hours and managed to finish 5th overall. The smoke coming from the car was due to a minor oil leak that was corrected at the next pit stop. David Piper was the co-driver for this amazing drive.
