You got it right! It IS one of the most beautiful cars I've ever seen. The owner, serendipitously, is the father of a former student of mine who died at a very young age. His father has dedicated his life to the memory of his son by collecting and restoring classic, vintage cars and opening his collection up to groups of disadvantaged youth as a motivational "carrot" to encourage them to do their best; ("If I could come this far and do this in my lifetime, so can you, if you put your mind to it and work hard.") He's quite a guy.

I saw this car at the Rocky Mountain Concours de Elegance last year. According the the program from that event it's a 1937 Delahaye 135M, owned by Malcom Pray of Greenwhich, CT. This car won the "Most Elegant Sports Car" award at the event last year.
