It is called that way because of its aluminium body built on a tubular spaceframe. With its 320 bhp 2.989 liter V 12 engine in a body weighing only 1411 lbs, this "birdie" could fly - literally - 199 mph. Not bad...hey...we'rethat was in 1961.
