My original caption is as follows: "The Jim Bandy, Fred Stevenson, Carl Williams Lotus Europa at the 1970 24-Hours of Daytona. The car sported a 1600 cc engine but failed to finish due to engine problems." Fred Stevenson saw this and sent in the following correction: "Not true! We finished in 45th position and I'm not certain where in Group 4. A wire did become dislodged from the distributor during the night, fortunately in the infield section. After the corner people pushed me off the course and into a SAFE position and under a light, I reconnected and was off. I was driving when the sun went down and when it came up. The real thrill was when Pedro Rodigize (Ferrari) and Mario (Ferrari) passed me simultaneously on each side coming onto the front straight.I thought both doors were going to be sucked off. We did not finish at Sebring that year. And, it was fun - just had to watch the mirrors."
