1956 Ford Thunderbird-2003

The owner of this car is Gary Croan. He is a Thunderbird enthusiast but not a racer. He wanted to have it raced for a while and then retire it as a street-driven display car. Gary dropped out of Heaven just after I retired from an engineering career the demands of which had prevented me from racing for the previous ten years. We had a lot of fun racing it in VARA for the 2003 season. Then the engine "done blowed up", as David Hobbs would say, at California Speedway in early 2004 and Gary had to quit. Thanks Gary.
