copyrighted photo1939 V12 Lagonda with replica Le Mans body

Copyright by Peter Hardolt, do not use without permission. Lagonda won Le Mans in '35 and went back in '39 with the new W. O. Bentley designed V12 chassis. The body was designed by Frank Feeley. With little time to prepare they decided to set a pace 1 mph faster than the previous year's winner. Doing that they finished 3rd and 4th. Unfortunately the war prevented an all out attempt at the win in '40. The 2 team cars were heavily damaged by a V1 bomb during the war. My car carries the first restoration body for a team car done by Lord O'Neil in N. Ireland.
