I don't presently own a Vintage Car, but I love them none the less. I have owned Triumphs, MG's and a Healey in my younger days.
Now, I just enjoy being at events where vintage sporting cars prevail! And I also enjoy photographing these old cars, and sharing my pictures with anyone who also enjoys my interests.
I am not a pro photographer, just an "advanced" amateur. I do not sell my photos, but I have been known to give them away, as long as they are for that individuals personal use only.
Thanks for the nice comments guys. I'm happy you enjoyed them.
Yeah Mike. I would like that I'm sure. But committed to a Vintage Cushman and Mustang (Scooter) meet in June, here in South Texas. Remember the Mustang Motor Scooters???
Years ago, in September, I went to Steamboat Springs for a couple of years to the vintage racing they used to have there. That is great country indeed. Steamboat, and the street racing, was loads of fun, and plenty of room so that you never felt crowded. I loved that. Too bad it had to go away.
Great photo for your icon! I'm going to have to look into the Mustang Scooter - I don't recall those from my past, but I am familiar with Cushman. Sounds like a good time.
Steamboat Springs was one of those events without equal. We are trying to establish a similar large annual gathering at Motorsports Park Hastings in Nebraska. RMVR will be there for a third time this year over Labor Day weekend with our Steam Boat Grand Prix. We're doing a race car street parade and getting the whole town involved. From an car entry and crowd standpoint this is probably the closest thing we've had to compare to the Steamboat Springs races.
There is a historical reference to the area near the Hastings track being referred to as Steam Boat Corner, which is why we've resurrected the name for this event.
