I have to say I really miss Champ Car as that was my favourite series. Now I guess I'll have to say F1. I love all open wheel series though, so it really is hard to choose.
Well I guess I would have to agree. Champ Car then F-1 but now days who knows. I hope too get to shoot my first ALM event this year. Those ALM cars sure look interesting but of course not open wheel. The Shell Ferrari Historic Challenge series gets a selection of great open wheel cars. Pre war Alfas, Maserati 250Fs and even the occasional Ferrari F-1 of various vintages. Fun but not the same.

You notice I have skipped mentioning IRL. The sound of those things makes my head hurt plus boy are they ugly.

Haha, I totally agree with your IRL description. I just want to emphasize how darn UGLY they are!!!
I love the ALMS series as well. Those Audi R10s flying by without hardly making a noise sure is something to see.
I haven't had the opportunity to see the Shell Ferrari series, but does sound like something I sure would enjoy.
That's one thing that I really have enjoyed on this site is all the pictures. There sure are a lot of beautiful race cars.

And I noticed the skipping of the IRL. lol They sure aren't the prettiest cars out there, that's for sure, but they will sound a little different this year because they put mufflers on them after realizing they sounded terrible.
They have to get back to turbos. That's what open wheel cars are suppose to sound like.
Bill Scott Formula Car Series, Run in conjuction with Formula Race Car Club of America. All of you No Fenders Guys/Gals should know who Bill Scott is. He recently Passed Away.
Hi Doc,

Maybe you could give us some background on Bill Scott for those of us that didn't know Bill.
Formula One. And of course, Historic Formula Ford !!
Speaking of F1, I really like the look of the new Lotus. I'm really looking forward to this season.
