The car is being prepared and is not yet ready. I will post photos of the finished car in June.

I am going to share my Mini Cooper Swith Barrie Whizzo Williams at both the Pageant of Power and the 50th Anniversary Race at Silverstone Historice Weekend both in July. My car will be presented in British Vita Racing Livery to honour Barrie and John Rhodes who also occasionally raced for the Vita team. If anyone is going to either of these events do please come and see me. I will put up pictures of the car in its Vita livery in mid June. If you have any information on the Vita racing era do let me know. Conor

This is a picture of John Rhodes racing my 1966 Mini Cooper S at Brands Hatch GP circuit in 2006. He is showing his son Tim,in the Midget behind, the way around and has not lost a bit of his magic touch, still hunched over the wheel but does not need to put his right elbow in the door pocket or his right leg up on the dash!

Great to find this group. Thanks Pat for guiding me in the right direction. We are lucky enough to be going to the UK this May/June and will be going on the London to Brighton Run and a tour of the MINI plant in Oxford, then a three day celebration MINI United at Silverstone Raceway

Thanks for the great history! I belong to one of the largest Mini clubs in the west that is mostly BMW MINI's but we embrace our legacy and love to have the classics with us on our runs. Many of our members have both in their family. We regularly invite the MOASF group to join us on runs, picnics, events, etc. We have a number of husband/wife members where one has the classic and the other a new MINI.

I never understood the snob attitude of the classic car scene. I had a '66 MGB roadster that I modified to suit my taste including replacing
the "Prince of Darkness" with a modern street rod wiring kit. It made my B more reliable and a stronger runner. I also had lourvers popped in the hood to help get heat out from under the bonnet. I'd have the purists give me a hard time about these mods and simply told them when they started paying for my car then their opinion would matter. I'm going to share this site with my club friends (www.redwoodempiremini.com)

Judging by your photo I'd say you've got style also ! Any photos of you with "nothing on the clock except the makers name, the artificial horizen a jumbled heap in the corner, the cockpit filling up with Glycol....."?
