SCCA Road-Racing Open Wheel Car - Formula Continental - $8800

Some of you requested information on this FC and it's back on Craigslist. It's not my car but i'm trying to help you guys find some deals.


Currently set up for short skinny 16-year-old girl, but will setup to suit buyer/driver

Race-ready package with trailer and spares

English tube-frame chassis with fiberglass bodywork.

Recent upgrades, current SCCA logbook.
Freshened for two races in 2008, currently stored at a pro prep shop.
Currently set up for Texas Motor Speedway road course, where it was last raced Sept 2008.
New fuel cell
New tires
New wings
Spare tires and wheels, including rains
Spare bodywork
Hewland Mark 9 transaxle with 6 alternate gearsets (plus the 4 installed)
Weighs approx 900 lbs.
Setup information.
Ford 2-liter engine by Farley - 140 hp, dyno sheets included
Same power/weight ratio as a Dodge Viper.
Top speed up to 150 mph depending on gearing.
Ground effects produce over 1 G of downforce - amazing grip!
These are amazing cars, yet surprisingly easy to drive.

You just cannot buy a nice open-wheel winged formula car any cheaper.

Also available is a lightweight two-wheel trailer made by Speedwagon, specially made for this type car, and includes a large storage box.

Car can be seen at the prep shop near Hwy 121 @ Minnis Dr. in Haltom City.
