SVRA Backgound
There is something pure about seeing a racing Ferrari in action, or a Shelby GT350 blasting down a straightway. Yes, these cars look gorgeous standing still, even in a museum. However, rest assured that the like of Enzo Ferrari and Carroll Shelby would much rather see their creations raced as intended, and that is what the SVRA is all about.

At SVRA, we provide a great show for our fans and sponsors. More importantly, we offer tightly regulated wheel-to-wheel racing for the men and women who own and maintain their vintage and historical cars, and the venues through which they can compete.

With upwards of 400 participants spanning ten groups of race cars, SVRA events are spectacles of sight and sound. Round a corner in the paddock and see a tribe of Lister sports cars have pre-race work done so they are ready to run; walk thirty feet and see a 1967 Ferrari F2 car.

If it sounds like a lot of great racing and tremendous race cars, it is. But what sets SVRA apart is the spirit and atmosphere of the events themselves. SVRA events are laid-back, spectator friendly events; prior champions are within reach; racing legends are approachable, and the current car owners are always willing to talk about their pride and joy's history and triumphs.
