Hello Willie: I know you (or at least feel I do ) from your many informative posts on the alfabb site. I love your website as well. So, it is truly not a duetto, as it is a 1969, w 1750 spica. I bought it a few mos ago from a gentleman who thus far had spent 6 yrs restoring it. He works real slow, but has done all the rust repair and has it in a primer coat. He tired at the pace ( I think his wife helped him to the decision to sell). So, right now it needs a few touches of body work and paint. The engine runs, but I think it will need a rebuild. I will do this myself . I been pondering to rebuild as a 1750 or 2000. I also have a set of dell'ortos and I will have the tranny rebuilt and lightened. I did this to the 74 spider tranny by a local expert and it is perfect w no grinding even w aggressive downshifting. I'm not worried about changing the originality of the car, as resale is not an option. This will be my permanent weekend cruise car. In sunny California, I have ample opportunity to drive with the wind in my hair. (fortunately, my wife loves to as well) I'd love to drive around Europe in a vintage alfa as well, maybe there will be rentals soon. We will be visiting germant/swiz/italy in late July/ early Aug this summer, but will be back in time for the Concorso Italiano in Monterey ,California. This is the auto highlight of the year for us. I hope to have the 69 running by end of the year, but w the 74 available, I'm in no particular hurry. Thanks for the post. Ken
