Profile Information

About Me:
My interest in motor- racing began in the late 50's/early 60's when my Uncle, John Morgan, who was the owner of London's Steering Wheel Club, Race Organiser & Clerk of The Course at Aintree for the British Grand Prix 1955, '57, '59, '61 & 62, and all the Bank Holiday Events at Goodwood until it's closure in the mid sixties, took me to race meetings at Goodwood, Silverstone and Brands Hatch. I watched Moss, Brooks, Hill, Clark, Stewart, Brabham, Salvadori and Surtees in their heyday, on through the 70's, -80's, - into the 90's and on to the present day. My passion is motor racing - enjoying the occassion when I can and if not, from the comfort of my armchair!
What car(s) do you own?
A lowly Peugeot 207 Sport. I've had a BMW and a Mercedes - but the little Peugeot is more agile, just as comfortable, and easier on the pocket!
What do you like to do (e.g. vintage race with...)?
I'm not sure racing's for me. I was invited to this site and decided to join up because I love F1 and I'll possibly make friends with a similar interest, - but I doubt I've got quite what it takes to race, - not least, the nerve entailed! I'd love to drive a single seater though, at a relatively sedate pace around Goodwood or Brands.
What clubs do you belong to?
None curently. I might join the GRRC again, - I allowed my membership to lapse! Part of me is loathe to join out of principle as I've always felt I should have been given Honorary Membership, I'm sure most people would say why on earth should I be! Just the way I feel.
What would you like to do (e.g. go to race school; get into Vintage Racing)?
Nothing as exotic as racing I'm afraid - I'd love to go to Monaco more than anything else, - either for the Monaco G.P. or the race for historic sportscars. I sometimes get to the British G.P. or the Spanish G.P. and I regularly go to the Goodwood Festival of Speed and the Revival Meetings.

Having taken photographs at the Goodwood Revival Meeting since it's inception, I've put together a lovely Photobox Album which I've recently had printed. You can view it on the following link, and purchase your own copy if you wish -
