Good morning.
This email is to announce the publication of my new iBook Circuit 2011. Published with Apple’s iAuthor it is an image book of the 2011 vintage events I shot for www.sportscardigest.com. Not the simplest of publishers to work with Apple still produced an iBook with great image quality. Please check it out and let me know what you think. You can get a free sample of each chapter or order the book using this link.

Very sorry to hear about your Mini. I have had several and still have one that I truly love. Yes, the McLaren team--in its true origin and definition--is absolutely a Kiwi team and in many ways, opposite from the current team. I do not at all like what it has become but I still love what it was.

Hello Mr. Dompe--You have a very nice set of photos. In terms of the CanAm, most of the teams up and prior to 1972 were "small" and the factory involvement was contained or minimized. I do agree with your comments about Chaparral. It was a great team led by a great man. and I had the good luck to meet Jim at the 04 Elkhart Lake CanAm revival. I think of Jim Hall and Bruce McLaren as the yin and yang of motorsports, Hall provided the basic designs and innovations while McLaren provided the practical use and detailed development. Together, they epitomise the very best and the entirety of what motorsports should be but, unfortunately, is no more.
