most likely now them. dad attacked my mother & sister with the garden fork yesterday social were really helpfull call the police was all they could come up with. joys of life!
the pistols played the marquee, as did most punk bands in the 70's it is the UK equivalent of New Yorks CBGB's... quite legendary in fact. I have of course heard of, and know Dr Feelgood, as well as Canvey Island, had a few girlfriends from that way a while back. The Peter Boat is a pub i used to like for example
OK, I am in... :) sounds great and i look forward to being your official New York outpost! will sign up on your website later.
When i was much younger i used to hang out at the Marquee Club in Wardour Street, my mate was the recording engineer there and we used to hang out in the recording studio a lot as well as the Ship on Dean Street which i am sure you know. Spent many a happy night in there drinking. One of the most bizzare nights was drinking with Lemmy and Marc Almond together, not an obvious pair of drinkers, but ... Sadly i was a bit too young for the full 70's punk rock scene, but still have tons of my old punk vinyl records.
My Cobra here is one of the 27 lightweight AC Cobra's that were made. they only made 6 left hookers of which mine is one. It was specced to be more powerful than a standard AC as well as being lighter makes it possible to hit 10mph in under 10 secs
funnily enough, the first car i ever owned was a Triumph, specifically a Triumph Vitesse...
Hi Kev, thx for the invite. Trouble is I live in New York, that being said i do have an AC Cobra in the UK too, however i am not there as often as i would like :( happy to join your group though, just difficult for me to hang out with you guys!
what NO thermal underwear. you don't talk right down south i'ad never understand what you were saying. besides i'ad never be able to afford living on an island. welding what can i say cars been on fire i've been on fire think i should have been looked up & key lost ages ago.
supose i could be doctor madness, after starting the 1300GT project i now realise i need to be confirmed. sos no brass band or match stick records; not even any northern soul stuff but as i'am addicted to lady gaga at present (can't think why) you can see not much hope in my record collection. got a few greek one's if you really want something differant.you have to remember in the midlands we had ELO and sorry to say slade, not sure who was about in 1935 when my Austin 10 started its life big band sounds maybe but with there age frank sinata or even matt munroe? no only joking but surely these would go down well with the more mature TR Driver. but as your in the chair mr DJ play what you like i'am sure all will be well.
cheers
kev
hope to be at home on the monday, just depends on my old man due to both my sisters going off again to their houses in france for the week. if home i should be welding or trying to find something to weld! as for Dudley it's the coldest place in the UK so message most likely not got though their woolley hats yet!
Hi Kev,
Thanks for the invite, your site looks great, it will be great to see what car clubbers are doing across the pond. Our car show and racing season is just starting here in the states.

Thanks Kev, but I'm a bit old for that sort of celebrating. I delegated it to my 19 yr old son who took it seriously and came back at 4.30 this morning.
Car is not as good as it looks from a distance, but its only for a bit of fun. Problems with missing at the moment though, can't seem to get it sorted, very irritating.

Speedway is something that I have never photographed
it was very popular here in the 50's and 60's but has
died off a bit since then
