Hi Bob, You are right , the manifold is a hermes. I am getting 108 at the wheels on a chassis dyno. I have a fresh 807G on an engine stand, just built for me by Terry Tinney at Performance Motors. But CSRG won't let me run it ( at least I have not tried) so it will likely go in my street car. I am around tonight if you get a chance to call, most likely tomorrow too. Dan

Hi Bob, I have seen your car in one of the vintage magazines. Glad you made contact. Mine is a 67 S1, that has had a new body and chassis. The engine is a non-crossflow which is what I have to use to race in CSRG. Send me an email address and I will send you some pics, better yet give me a call. I am home most evenings and can be reached at 408 226 8645 befor 10:00 Pacific time. My cell is 408 836 4537, look forward to talking soon. Thanks Danl

I would be really guessing on the year I bought the Walker from Gano,Bob. 6 or 7 years ago (+-) 2 or 3??

Yes, I owned the highly modified Walker as well. I bought it out of Ottawa many moons ago and the kid I bought it from moved to Greece. I did get in touch with the chap who modified it but that was years ago. Mike may know more than me on this one.

My '72 Xpit is approved with both SOVREN and the VRC of BC. It is for sale so I can get space and $$ to restore my '64 Vixen F4. Google VRCBC and check out the classifieds. I am almost giving it away as the price is in CDN funds.

If it is possible and I knew how I could send pics - or send your your e-mail address to "" and I can try that route.

I never drove the car, Bob. In fact I sold it to Mike without the engine being run as I didn't want to screw it up.
I don't recall what wheels it had but I do have some pics of it that might help.

It was Tom Gano who I bought it from. I believe he lived in the San Fran area.
Regards, Bob

HI Bob,

I posted some pictures of my Lotus Europa for you. It is a 1969 S2 with the R16. It also has a Hewland MK9 transaxel and Lotus 23 rear upright with disk brakes in the rear. For SCCA Production racing we have to run the Renault motor but I am looking into switching classes and may built a Twin Cam for it this winter. One of my other Europ projects is a 1974 Twink with a Dodge Neon SRT4 turbo motor and trans. Think 300hp in a 1800lbs car! Should make for a fun trip to work durringt he summer.

Currently I only race with SCCA but I'm thinking more about trying some vintage racing next summer.

I had a slow drive home, 61 mph. So, Did you win the second race?? It was good to see Bud and Gus too. The car is in the garage and I think I have found someone to help with the drive shaft problems. Have a good run down south.

Bob, Don't you know, running the XXXX out of them is what we do best. Both V1 & V2 are together so look out for smoke.
