If you get the opportunity to drive this track, do it! It is, by far, my favorite race course. The Stephens family make all of the events seem like a homecoming, and the track itself is very challenging and well maintained. Scott Clark and I may miss a CVAR race or two each year, but we always plan to make it to Hallett.

ive driven hallett a handful of times, the most recent being last year in a miata, but my nissan is finally ready to hit the track again after a few year hiatus. i will also make the next event, and hopefully, many more next year!

I love racing but, I have only driven Hallett 2 times. Once clockwise, once counter-clockwise. The first time, I became addicted and bought a car to build soon after. It's been a long build but I will finally take it out on the track during round 8 on Sunday. I will probably be put in PA. Not for certain, the car looks GT3 but the motor is too mild for GT3. I hope to run 1:38 or better (prefer better) the first time out. Lookin for solid, steady times before I make any adjustments. I welcome any advice regarding the line or the setup as I am starting with a blank slate.

Hallett is my and most of CVAR's favorite track and weekend event. The Stephen's family have no equal for hospitality and helpful resources. The food and service are great. The Saturday night party's are just what's needed to scramble our senses for Sunday's races.
Our hats are off to you and the Hallett family for creating one of the "racing gems" in America.

I agree, Hallett is one of, if not my favorite track. I always definitively said it was my favorite until I ran on Heartland Parks new configuration this spring. I didn't think I was going to like it where they straightened out turn 1 and the kink at the back but it is a real hoot. I think Randy Probst once spoke of the thrill of high speed corners at the limit. He stated "that is where the God's are". (I mean no disrespect to our true Lord) I was going through the back kink before the bridge at over 100. I would just tap the brakes ever so slightly to settle & plant the front end, then mat the gas. My finances have been grim since my wife was injured over a year ago, lost her job and is elegible for zero assistance. I will be back out for sure. Of late I have just instructed at DE events for track time but I can barely cover the costs of even that with brakes & tires. I hope to be out to play soon. Matt
