Getting it back together

Posted on November 13, 2008 at 8:04pm 1 Comment

I have started to put my own Abarth Berlina Corsa replica back together. It was last overhauled/painted in 1992, so it was about time.

Initially the car was stripped on the interior, engine and luggage compartments. After welding up the holes from 10 years of competition it was dispatched to the body shop for a much needed coat of paint.

Well, hopefully you can get to Fiat Freak Out on the East Coast held the same weekend as our West Coast event. Next year, they will make sure to stagger their event so everyone can attend La Dolce Vita and Monterey Car Week. They had to go with the date the venue had available. I just helped the FreakOut event founder and the Fiat-Lancia Unlimited Club spread a press release and Robb, the event founder, hooked an interview on FOX a few nights back and now CBS came down from New York to interview him hours ago for national broadcast! It's a twisted way for it to happen (downfall and mismanagement of auto companies), but I'm happy that FIAT and the car industry as a whole are getting attention in the media, it makes people sit up and take notice. Right now, the media is all over anything related to FIAT. I've got an interview li ned up for Robb with luxvelocity.com in the next few days also.

Hi Paul, Thanks for the info. I was in touch with Bill a number of years ago and was most interested in his white NSU TT. Unfortunately, finances and marital disapproval at that time, did not allow me to get it. However, I would still be interested in his latest TT. I also visited your website- nicely done by the way.I may still have a new a water pump (kind of a pedestal style arrangement) for a Simca. You are welcome to it if you can use it and I can find it! Please keep me in the loop. Take care. Hank

Hi Paul
Welcome to MyVRL.
Please personalize your Home Page, join your other favorite car Groups, post photos (and race videos if you have them) and invite your SVRA, HSR and Coppa Mile friends to join.
You can build a new Scuderia Topolino Group on MyVRL and invite your customers to join.
All the best - Stephen
