Dennis, I like type 2's had a sweet 70 panel that I towed my race bug with but sold it. I miss it! It is now somewhere in San Francisco.

Hi Tony,,
That wasn't my Type 34 picture--it was there already when I started searching around for any VW-oriented groups here. Sadly, I've only owned one Type 3 in my life, and it was a lowly '70 Squareback--nothing as cool & exotic as a T-3 Ghia. You should post a picture of yours somewhere--it sounds great--good for you!
Best regards,
Steve

Hi Steve, nice to see a picture of a VW Type 34 on VRL. I also own one which is for hire by my classic car hire company - The Open Road.

The car has lead an interesting life as one of its previous owners had a go at drag racing it with a 2 litre engine. It is now fitted with a 1600 engine and I have raised the suspension back to standard specification as I have to hire it out as a fairly standard car. I am working through a long list of small jobs to bring it up to standard but it will be available for hire in April.

I took it out last night in the grips of winter (minus 2 Celsius) and although I have had the heater re-installed, it isn't very effective.

If you are interested in the car then I am a member of the Type 34 Register and run my own VW Razoredge blog on their website.

Great fun!

Hey-ho, Steve from Stony Creek, CT here--nice to see a VW owners section.
Here is my local antique auto hobby stuff page: http://home.comcast.net/~shorelinesteve/SAACMainPage.html
Here is my antique VW interests page: http://home.comcast.net/~commonsteve/CGMain.html
(will be doing a lot of rebuilding on both as time goes on, since both were originally hosted on AOL, which dumped all their web hosting customers in October '08...).
Happy VW-ing,
Steve
