Tony,
Thank you for your reply. I actually started on your advice even before you sent your reply...but I still appreciate your information.
I figure that I will stay in extremely good physical condition (even though I don't have the money right now, that's no reason to get lazy). I have been in the moving industry ( moving household goods) for a LONG time, so I am very familiar with hard, physical work for long periods of time. I have also been a competitive powerlifter in the past, olympic-level swimmer and I was in pro-level motocross (motorcycle racing) when I was younger...( I have been blessed with natural strength and athletic ability, just looking for that opportunity to put it to use in a 4 wheel vehicle...
Thanks again for your positive reply.

While in high school in 1970, I was a garage sweeper for a Nascar Modifed driver Ted Wesnofske (Polish). He joined PRDA, kept the patch and gave me the decal. My Dad (Polish), an airline pilot, immediately swiped the decal and put it on his crew bag, where it traveled with him for decades. Upon his passing, I was given his crew bag. I carefully removed the PRDA decal and it remains in my automobilia collection today. I never found another reference to it until visiting your site and glad to hear it wasn't a figment of the era. Thanks

Tony,
Thanks for the invite, I am honored. I grew up on Long Island and followed in awe your accomplishments, since your early days. Just recently I was searching the web for ideas for my 240Z. I have raced it in SCCA improved touring for too many years and as the driver and car are melding into vintage racing, I was researching how to modify my car more like the CP cars of the day and of course came across those wild Electramotive 280s you drove.
All the racing fame and decades of time aside for the moment...it is the PRDA that rocks me.

WoW Thanks for the follow up, you would have been a real threat with direct FI, 331 Cu In running on methanol in the awesome Lola T332 chassis.
We were very basic back in 69, worked on reliability and consistency, winning only 2 races that year. Without Carroll Smith I would never have won the championship, I was a green pea to open wheel racing and he was a good mentor and Team Manager. Nice to hear Carroll's opinion of me, he was never one to compliment my driving, however he once said "I had the fastest set of hands he'd ever seen". I thought that was a complement. The same Championship Gurney Eagle is now owned by Doug Magnon of Riverside International Automotive Museum and expertly prepared and maintained by master mechanic Bill Losee. Check out my bio for full accounting of the 1969 Championship http://www.a2zracer.com/page18.html and recap of the 2009 FA 5000 championship season with pics of the restored car in action 40 years later.http://www.a2zracer.com/page112.html
By the way, The PRDA is Alive and well , ck out

Hey Tony. Thanks for the comeback. Sold my car in 85. At that time, I was using GM experimental 3 valve heads with direct FI, and methanol on my 331 cid Chevy in Historics. I planned to run F5000 in 77, but SCCA once again proved it can't manage professional racing series and killed F5000 (hooking up with USAC previously didn't help). BTW, I worked with Carroll Smith from 1993 until his death on the Formula SAE collegiate race car series and the Dodge Viper while I was at Chrysler. He told me you were a class act and were the most disciplined driver he worked with pro racing. Glad to see you're getting your AAR Eagle back on track. The only guy still running one in SCCA Nationals when I started was Rex Ramsey. Depending on my work schedule, I will roll out my Lotus 20 for events this coming summer. Good luck this season. Long live PRDA!

Stephen,
Sorry I don't know a Joy Khalifa Either case not really important.

Thank You for the compliments on my new Bus. card, depicting the 1969 Championship FA5000 RIAM Eagle, winning the FA5000 championship last year, 40 years later was significant. http://a2zracer.com/page112.html

I would like to do more to personalize my page, unfortunately I may need some tutor assistance to do so ? Perhaps a seperate e mail to go over details. Certainly I could add my prior racing escapades such as Trans Am, F5000 , Can Am, World endurance racing, Ferrari, Porsche, etc. my bio site : www.a2zracer.com

I am interested in in what it would costs to have a banner ad for my e commerce site www.a2zracergear.com ?
I would have to discuss it with my business partners as well.

I appreciate your follow up and friendship, working together I'm sure I can do a lot more with promoting VRL
I anticipate reuniting with my RIAM Gurney Eagle for the 2010 vintage season, perhaps the first appearance for the VARA route 66 venue at Fontana in March.

Feb , March Brings out the Desert Classic Concurs in Palm Springs area end of Feb . My friend Paul Merrigan puts on this outing and he should be with the VRL as well .

Also in March will be The Legends of Riverside II , this venue we will be honoring Carroll Shelby as our special guest. Doug Manon, owner of RIAM and Dave Wolin, amongst many others will assist wiht putting on this event .

Perhaps when you have time we can go over some of these topics. I assume you are the administrator for VRL and my immediate contact with advertising , etc.

Best Wishes for a Healthy New Year , Cheers! Tony a2z
