I cannot post a photo to my page. It is a small jpg. Something wrong with your settings. This is why you see everyone using the same photo of the red turner. Thx, Bill
Good day Stephen! You're my first contact with VRL, It looks like there's lots do discover here. Where are you? I'm on the coast of calif. not too far from Laguna Seca and Buttonwillow race courses. I'm less interested in racing than playing with the cars, maybe if I spent time racing, I'd find it more interesting, driving old non competitive cars against cars that have had hundreds of thousands dumped into them isn't very rewarding, VINTAGE racing initially was supposed to be a means of excersising our crocks, not less expensive SCCA racing.
I think the mindset is different in the UK with many still enjoying olde cars as a hobby, not an investment. Perhaps that's what this site is about.
How's that for starting RANT,
Cheers
Thank you Stephen for the warm welcome. I was on a few other group sites before coming here and found you all on Google. What an amazing site, you all are so much more user friendly and the site is so easy to get around!! Given all the rich content on the site I can see this will take me some time to learn my way.
I had a racing colleague of mine recommend you all to me saying it was the best racing website out there and I needed to join. Well done.
A NICE SURPRISE. YOUR KINDNESS TO THIS OLD RACER IS APPRECIATED. WOULD LIKE TO MEET YOU AT THE GOODWOOD REVIVAL THIS SEPTEMBER. DROP BY THE MERCEDES FACTORY PADDOCK . I''M THE ONE IN THE FERRARI JUMP SUIT. THE OLD POOP SPORTING A GOATEE. CIAO
My favored vintage race has to be Coronado in September. May be, just may be My son will drive my 57 Alfa next year. He was a race instructor in Las Vegas for many years. Has raced everything from my car to F2000, FF, Int'l sedans to Damon Hill's F1 car plus all kinds of exotic cars. His first race when he was 15 (didn't have his driver license yet). Anyway we are a racing family. My grand son, 14, races a GoKart and is winning.
Well, well that's interesting what a coincidence! We've had a great Summer thus far packed with motoring events as Goodwood, Silverstone and Beaulieu coming up in September with Goodwood Revival too! Also looking fwd to the Salon Prive and St. James's classics. We're off to the Isle of Wight classic car show and stopping off in Portsmouth to see the (new) Mary Rose exhibition...can report back on these events for your readers interest.
Thank you Stephen for your warm welcome ..... I am sure we share a great deal of passion and will do so into the future.....i look forward to many interactions and maybe a chance face to face one day. ..... .Ian
Thank you Stephen, and hopefully members of the VRL will find something of interst for them at the Festival, be that as a competitor, exhibitor or a spectator.

Sorry Stephen for the miss understanding. I wish to own the Mustang from the movie Bullit. There were two cars used in the making of the movie. Glenn
