GRAND OPENING Johnny Rockets and SO-CAL Speed Shop Exhibit and Retail Experience!

Grab a burger and meet SO-CAL Speed Shop's Alex Xydias and Pete Chapouris this Saturday!
Hamburgers are an American icon, and so are hot rods. These two icons will come together on the Miracle Mile on September 19, 2009. The world renown Petersen Automotive Museum will hold a Grand Opening Celebration for the new Johnny Rockets restaurant located in the Museum right on the corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue.

Order food all day on the 19th with 1986 prices! Purchase $20.00 or more worth of food and receive a 2 for 1 discount to the Petersen Automotive Museum.

Legendary oldies radio station K-EARTH 101’s own Charlie Tuna will be broadcasting live from the Johnny Rockets patio at the Petersen Automotive Museum from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. during the event. Answer Charlie’s trivia questions on site to win great prizes!

The celebration will also coincide with a new exhibit celebrating the hot rods and race cars of SO-CAL Speed Shop including the 1:00 p.m. debut of ZZ Top frontman Billy F. Gibbons’ latest ride, a customized 1958 Ford Thunderbird. Our new SO-CAL Speed Shop satellite store will also opening that day and will be stocked full of vintage-styled hot rod shirts and memorabilia. SO-CAL Speed Shop Founder and 2008 Robert E. Petersen Lifetime Achievement Award Winner, Alex Xydias and its current President, Pete Chapouris will be on hand to autograph a new poster commemorating the exhibit.
