John Horsman's book Racing in the Rain - should also be of interests (and we are listed in his book as well)
I would suggest that you contact a friend of mine Frank Catt at Wealden Engineering in the UK. He deals and maintains several original GT40's as well as provides replicas. I talked to him about your request and he indicated that he would be glad to try and help you. Note though that he indicated that due to this year being the 50th anniversary of the cars that he was not aware of any original cars for sale. He also indicated that due to the anniversary that the price on one that might be for sale will likely be elevated. Here is his contact information and good luck.
