Laguna Seca 1968 Jim Hall’s winged 2G Chaparral in a full on rainstorm streams by on his warm up lap. Hall had qualified on pole but a blown starter puts him out before the first lap. Chaparral used Chrysler starters with a simple aluminum adapter to fit the big Chevy. The bracket broke and the engine could not be started.
