In the UK F5000 race in a series with Formula 2 cars called the Derek Bell Trophy. It is run by the Historic Sports Car Club www.hscc.org.uk. I have some images from this series on my myvrl. It is a great championship and there are usually plenty of the big bangers racing. During our winter, some of the competitors go to New Zealand to race.

I will be at the Glen in September for the F5000 race, I can not wait,I documented it for them last year and what a race and battle between Jay Esterer & Hamish Somerville. Both from Canada I might add . They were nose and tail at the finish line! Lots of images from that weekend at the link below:

A chance to see ANY F5000 cars on the track would be great. Too bad they run mostly in the Mid-west and back east. I miss the roar of the V-8's and the bis tires. Oh for the good old days.

Wow over 23 cars per race average wouldn't that be great to see over here
at all f 5000 revival races !!!!!
